Yes, we grew them. No, we can’t garden.
I can’t keep up with the weeds anymore. Porcupines, rabbits, deer. They all come and eat what they like. Sometimes leaving nothing for us.
This year we got garlic. Harvested a few days ago. A few tomatoes, two hot peppers. Peas and beans.
This year we watch security footage of a pair of porcupines feast on beet and dandelion greens. Yes, I PLANT dandelion. You know how much those greens are at the store?
They ate all our herbs save for basil. Which we’ve been harvesting in volumes.
